Roast Asparagus
Roast asparagus is an easy accompaniment to a variety of hearty main dishes. Roasting intensifies flavor and results in a firmer texture than traditional waterlogged boiled or even steamed asparagus.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 bunch asparagus
Preparation
- Wash, dry, and trim the asparagus
- Arrange stalks on a sheet pan
- Coat with oil, season with salt and pepper
- Broil at 4" for 4-5 minutes, or until the stalks shrivel and just begin to char
